Travel and test-taking: The story of Brianna Baptista

Brianna Baptista, a super-junior nursing major, said the fun fact she shares in classes is that she once did a headstand next to the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

A less fun fact she shared is that she is thinking a lot about her upcoming tests, especially her Health Education Systems, Inc (HESI) exam. But while the tests here concern her, she said her favorite part about UMass Lowell is the people that she has met here.

She also said that something she is proud she did is that she worked as a nursing assistant. “It’s something that I did that I felt like I made an impact on other people,” she said.

Yet if Baptista could be anywhere else in the world, she would be in Florence, Italy, which she visited this past spring break.

“I had the time of my life there,” she said. She also went to France and said she had always wanted to see the Eiffel Tower in person, so that was exciting for her.

She said what fascinates her most in life is traveling: “Traveling fascinates me because you meet so many interesting people, and [learn] lots of different stories.”
