Honesty and post-midterm feelings: The story of Sara Nelson

If sophomore chemical engineering major Sara Nelson could be anywhere, she said she would be in her bed because of how tired she felt.

“I’m worn out from killing it at midterms, and I just want to sleep and it’s warm there,” she said.

One thing she said she is looking forward to is Thanksgiving which she spends with her family including her parents, her brothers and her grandparents, but they do not have any traditions in particular they follow every year.

“We’re not a family that has any strict traditions or anything and it’s always haphazardly thrown together at the last second and it involves a turkey.”

One fear that Nelson said she has is failure and disappointing her parents: “I wouldn’t want to let them down.”

If there was anything specific that Nelson would like to be remembered by, she said she would like to be remembered for her honesty.

“I don’t lie and I don’t like lying. I’m not very good at it and it makes me uncomfortable. I would like to be remembered as someone who was honest.”
